Since its inception, a generous grant has kept Cutler going, but print journalism is expensive, and our funding has not kept pace with costs. In order to continue producing original, creative, and important content for the CC community and beyond while adequately compensating our writers, artists, photographers, editors, and more, Cutler is in need of more financial support.
In such an interesting age for journalism and print media as a whole, organizations like The Colorado Sun are showing how communities can show up and keep the dream of independent journalism alive through a donation and membership-based non-profit model.
Cutler is already a non-profit, but we are just now dipping our toes into seeking donations in order to both support the current levels of staffing and production, but also to expand, innovate, and increase quality.
